MILWAUKEE 鈥� Brenda Cassellius, superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools, will be the special guest for the next installment of the 探花视频 Law School Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education鈥檚 鈥淕et To Know鈥� program series on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 12:15 p.m. at Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan St.
Derek Mosley, director of the Lubar Center, hosts the 鈥淕et To Know鈥� series, which is styled as 鈥渕ore late-night talk show than 鈥楳eet the Press.鈥欌�� Registration is for this free public event. Media wishing to attend should contact Kevin Conway at kevin.m.conway@marquette.edu.
Cassellius took over as superintendent of MPS in March 2025. During her 30 years as an educator, she has worked in many roles and districts, most recently as superintendent of Boston Public Schools. She will discuss her background, how she tackles her priorities, and what she plans to achieve in her work on the many challenges and opportunities facing MPS.
Mosley has served as Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education director since 2023. Under his leadership, the Law School鈥檚 Lubar Center has expanded its programming to include sessions during Black History Month and on unconscious bias, as well as Heritage Dinners in the community. A 1995 graduate of 探花视频 Law School, Mosley served as a judge of the Milwaukee Municipal Court for 20 years.
Through public programming such as the 探花视频 Law School Poll, 鈥淥n the Issues鈥� conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on issues of public significance, and the work of its Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, 探花视频 Law School seeks to advance civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
