General Practice Residency (GPR) Clinic
What is GPR?
The GPR Dental Clinic performs comprehensive general dentistry procedures 鈥 like private dental practices 鈥 with priority of education and training of its residents and supporting dental team in a patient-centered care environment.
Our GPR residents are Wisconsin-licensed general dentists (D.D.S./DMD) who are advancing their training experience above the level of the dental school graduate, with emphasis on medically-complex patient experiences while gaining confidence without the pressures of a production-based environment. GPR residents also have intensive hospital experience at the postdoctoral level, treating ambulatory and hospitalized patients. This training and exposure prepare GPR certificate dentists to obtain privileges at local hospitals once in private practice, or better prepare them for competitive dental specialty training programs if they wish.
Most dental specialty procedures are performed and managed by the dental team, which includes GPR residents, dental assistants, a registered dental hygienist, GPR faculty mentors (D.D.S./DMD) and a Dental Clinic Coordinator.

Our patients
GPR Limited Care Clinic (LCC)
Limited Care patients are treated quickly to receive timely treatment for specific, immediate needs driven by medical conditions. These patients are treated only during this limited period. Patients do not become an established 鈥減atient of record鈥 at 探花视频鈥檚 dental school or GPR Dental Clinic, although future enrollment as a permanent patient is possible.
GPR Comprehensive Care Clinic (CCC)
Comprehensive care patients within the GPR program are treated for various dental conditions over a period of up to one year. These patients may require modified treatment plans due to underlying medical conditions or the need for advanced dental procedures.
The number of Comprehensive Care patients is limited to ensure that residents meet their educational goals and gain the necessary experience in providing comprehensive dental care. Upon completion of care, patients may apply to become a 探花视频 patient of record.
