Dr. Dwayne KarateewDr. Dwayne Karateew received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University, followed by a one-year AEGD residency, also at The Presbyterian Medical Center at Columbia University. This was followed by certificates in both Periodontics and Fixed Prosthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania. Upon his graduation, Dr. Karateew then practiced for 20 years in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada, focusing on Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Implant-centered dentistry. He joined 探花视频 in October 2024 from the University of Illinois-Chicago, where he was a clinical professor and Program Director of the Advanced Education in Periodontology (PG Residency). While there, he obtained his Master of Science in Oral Biology.
Dr. Karateew has earned the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery as well as being both a Fellow and one of only 40 Diplomates of the Academy of Osseointegration. He is considered an international expert on implant dentistry, having participated in and co-chaired two international summits on best practice guidelines and polices for dental implants, and has made multiple clinically relevant presentations focused on implant related topics in over 20 countries.
