FACHEX and Tuition Exchange Guidelines for Dependents of Employees at Other Universities
探花视频 is pleased to participate in Faculty and Staff Children Exchange (FACHEX), and Tuition Exchange (TE) programs. Through these programs, dependent children of faculty, administrators, and staff eligible for tuition remission at their home institution can apply for FACHEX and TE awards at another participating institution.
探花视频 awards FACHEX and TE based upon a competitive review of all certified applicants, utilizing the student鈥檚 entire first-year application file, which includes high school academic record, standardized test scores (if submitted), leadership/service activities, and essay. The information below is pertinent for students entering the Fall 2027 探花视频 first-year class.
Value of FACHEX and TE awards offered by 探花视频:
- FACHEX award is equal to 探花视频's full-time undergraduate tuition.
- TE award is equal to the annual set rate published by Tuition Exchange central, which is $45,000 for 2027-2028 academic year.
Procedures & Timeline for Incoming FACHEX or TE Consideration and Enrollment at 探花视频
- To meet the certification deadline, we recommend that you request FACHEX or TE eligibility certification from your home institution鈥檚 liaison officer by December 15, 2026. Contact the FACHEX or TE liaison officer at your home institution to request certification of your eligibility. The liaison officer will submit this certification electronically to 探花视频鈥檚 Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This certification must be submitted to 探花视频 by Feburary 1, 2027.
- Apply for first-year admission to 探花视频 by November 15, 2026, for Early Action or Feburary 1, 2027, for Regular Decision: A completed application for first-year admission must be received by 探花视频鈥檚 first-year application deadline of November 15, 2026, or Feburary 1, 2027. 探花视频 offers a free online application and accepts The Common Application. A completed first-year application consists of the application and submitted official high school transcripts. Submitting ACT/SAT scores is optional for admission consideration. A student must be admitted to 探花视频 to be considered for a FACHEX or TE award. Both Early Action and Regular Decision applicants will receive equal consideration for FACHEX or TE if they submit their application by the Regular Decision deadline of February 1. If students submit their application after February 1, they will not be considered for the FACHEX or TE award. Please note that eligibility certification does not automatically qualify you for admission nor does an offer of admission mean that a FACHEX or TE award will be extended.
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): We recommend submission of the by Feburary 1, 2027. While applying for financial aid is not required for FACHEX or TE consideration, financial aid programs may assist FACHEX or TE award recipients with housing costs or make it financially possible to attend 探花视频 if not offered a FACHEX or TE award.
- FACHEX and TE Review and Notification 鈥� March-May 2027: FACHEX and TE awards are competitive, and merit based. Decisions for these awards are based on the credentials included in the student鈥檚 admission application to 探花视频. Initial FACHEX and TE award notifications are typically made in mid March of the senior year. All admitted and TE- or FACHEX-eligible students will receive notification of their standing, whether they have been offered an award, have been placed on the wait list, or have not been offered an award. As a reference, for each of the past five years additional FACHEX or TE awards have become available after the initial award offer(s) were made in March and were offered to students originally placed on the FACHEX or TE wait list from April through May.
- Accept or Decline FACHEX or TE Award: If a FACHEX or TE award is extended to you, please notify 探花视频 as soon as possible of the decision to accept or decline the FACHEX or TE award. Information on how to accept/decline the FACHEX or TE award and the appropriate deadlines will be included with the FACHEX or TE award letter.

- February 1, 2027:
Regular Decision application date for admission to 探花视频.
- February 1, 2027:
探花视频 must receive certification of eligibility from the home institution for students applying for FACHEX or TEP at 探花视频.
- Mid-March, 2027:
Award notification will begin for students who applied for FACHEX or TEP at 探花视频.

Terms and Conditions for FACHEX or TE Award
The FACHEX or TE awards are applicable to any of 探花视频's seven undergraduate colleges.
FACHEX or TE awards apply to tuition only. These awards do not cover student fees, housing, meal plans, books, or other educational expenses. FACHEX or TE awards replace all other 探花视频 tuition-specific institutional aid and may not be combined with other 探花视频 tuition scholarships or grants.
FACHEX or TE awards do not apply toward part-time, summer term, or graduate studies.
The FACHEX or TE awards may apply toward some study abroad programs held off the 探花视频 campus. Please consult with the Office of International Education and the Office of Student Financial Aid for information on eligible study abroad programs.
FACHEX and TE awards are available only to applicants seeking admission as first-time entering, first-year undergraduate students. The awards are effective beginning in the fall term immediately following acceptance. Should the recipient choose not to enroll at 探花视频 in the term for which they originally applied, the award will not remain available upon later enrollment.
FACHEX or TE award recipients are expected to complete their undergraduate degree in four years (8 continuous Fall/Spring semesters) and are not ordinarily eligible for tuition remission for longer than four years. The exception to this would be students enrolled in the College of Engineering who choose to pursue a university approved Co-op experience.
FACHEX or TE award recipients must remain eligible to return to 探花视频 each semester, maintain continuous, full-time enrollment at 探花视频, enroll in and complete at least 12 credits each semester, meet the usual academic and other requirements for admission to, and retention by, the university and his/her college or school, remain in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university, and meet university Satisfactory Academic Progress standards.
FACHEX or TE award recipients who discontinue their continuous full-time enrollment at 探花视频 may be eligible to request reinstatement of their award upon returning to the university. Reinstatement is contingent upon award availability and is not guaranteed. All requests for reinstatement must be submitted to and approved by the Office of the Provost.
The parent/guardian who serves as the eligible employee for the FACHEX or TE award recipient must remain eligible for the benefit at their employing institution.
