Large Format (Poster) Printing

Properly formatted poster submissions will be printed in three (3) business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holiday and break periods) and can be paid for and picked up at the Library Services Desk.

If you need your poster printed quicker, we recommend checking out places such as as they may be able to accommodate same day pickup, if submitted earlier in the day.

For individuals, groups, or courses looking to print more than 10 posters at a time, please contact us at least one week in advance at rm-posterprinting@marquette.edu.

Submit Your Poster

Note: you may be prompted to login with your 探花视频 credentials.

Supported File Types: PDF, JPG, PNG, TIFF (please use high quality/resolution images)

An email notification will be sent when the print is ready for pickup at the Library Services Desk.

For example, a 36鈥 x 48鈥 poster printed on Standard Paper would cost $13.92 (48 x 0.29). We can provide a cost estimate if needed.

Patrons who do not pick up their posters by the end of the semester will have a hold applied to their library account until the cost of the print has been paid.

Payment is accepted via 探花视频 Cash at the Library Services Desk, or via departmental billing.

Poster Trimming

Posters are typically printed on paper 42 inches wide. We do not trim posters for patrons ahead of time, however we provide the necessary cutting tools for you to use. Please ask at the Library Services Desk when picking up your poster about trimming your poster.

Cardboard Tubes

By default, your poster will come with a plastic sleeve. However, we also offer cardboard tubes for $2.49/tube. When submitting your poster, please indicate if you'd like one. Your total cost will include the price of the cardboard tube if you indicate on the form that you'd like one.

Copyright and Intellectual Property Guidelines

The library cannot print posters that violate the university's Acceptable Use Policy or copyright law.

Software

The library recommends using Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, or to create your poster.

We also have the following software available for creating posters on workstations located on Adobe and Mac stations throughout the library:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe InDesign 
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Microsoft Publisher (PC only)
